Howard County Fair '09

Many fun things to see and do at the HO CO Fair.

Senior Portraits

Ethan is the newest to the Senior Portrait submissions. A student at Howard High, class of '10. We had a great time and shared ideas on what could be done.

Backgrounds at JAMES Photographic.

Jimmy is always fair game when testing needs done. Here we had a portrait session in the kitchen, deleted the background and Photoshop Layered in a photograph I took specificly for that type of use.

...................Memorial to Ephraim Anderson
Members of the 704th M.I. BDE Honor Guard were on hand for the Dedication of the recently discovered grave site of Lt Col Ephraim Foster Anderson. A Civil War hero and Orator at the Dedication of Antietam National Battle Field. "Peace has come and come to stay" (Anderson).

Howard High Prom

Sarah is on her way to the '09 Howard High Prom.
I got a few pics before she left.

Mike.

A Cellist, and student at Howard High School, came by the James Photographic studio for his Senior portrait. We had a great portrait session and took many poses with and without his cello.

She's a graceful lady. Happiest in her warm window seat, where she can watch all her subjects as they come and go. Truly regal. ........................................................................... © Jim Stepanik
Dr. Robert Mbinda.
This past week, I had the great pleasure of covering the visit of The Father Dr. Robert Mbinda and His wife Mariam to the congregation of St John ELCA in Columbia Maryland. Dr. Mbinda an Anglican priest, and Leader of the Good Samaritan Orphanage in Mbeya, Tanzania offered four sermons of joy and thanksgiving to the people of St John for their efforts in helping to build the orphanage. One of these services offered a more open form, entertaining questions from the youth of St. John. We enjoyed hearing Dr. Mbinda's words of thanks, and of the wonderful children he has accepted charge of. Here are a few of the pictures of their visit. ............................................all images by and copyright of Jim Stepanik

HALLOWEEN PETS

Elkridge Animal Hospital hosted a Halloween Social for their patients and caretakers. Many were costumed for the event. I must say they were all well behaved and had a great time. Here are a few for your enjoyment.

Three Sisters

Denise's sister Diane is visiting from the "Land Down Under". We were fortunate to also have their sister DeDe visit as well. Having them together again made for an otherwise impossible portrait session. It was a great pleasure having these ladies in my studio. Gorgeous, Have a look. ......................................................................photo by and copyright of Jim Stepanik.

Peabody Violin Recital

This years Peabody Prep Violin Recital included Sarah accompanied by Jacob Frasch on piano. She performed Carl Bohm's "Introduction and Polonaise". A livly piece, giving Sarah a fun challenge. Peabody's Griswold Hall provided a dramatic setting for the event. Sarah's instructor, Andria Picard of the Peabody faculty, was in attendance and recorded her students for further study and guidance. ......... photo by and copyright of Jim Stepanik

Howard Hi Dance Recital

This years Howard Hi dance recital was a really great time.

Lots of talent on hand as they wrapped up another school year. This years program had a movie theme. "The Crow" was my personal favorite. Sarah and her friends Cat, Briana, and Brittany did a marvelous job choreographing the piece. The evening was filled with many young talents. We even had a visit from zombies.
Congratulations to Sara Few and her staff from Howard High School for an enjoyable evening.
